Meet Emma Sue

With over 15 years behind the lens, I've had the incredible privilege of documenting life's most meaningful moments for hundreds of families, couples, and organizations throughout the region.

My journey into photography started at my own kitchen table, taking pictures of my children as they grew. What began as a passion quickly became a calling. I studied fine art photography, apprenticed with award-winning portrait and wedding photographers, and eventually founded Catch-Light Photography to bring my warm, authentic approach to every client.

I believe the best photographs happen when people feel comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely themselves. That's why every session — whether it's a wedding, a senior portrait, or a bustling school picture day — starts with a real conversation. I want to understand your story so I can tell it beautifully through images.

When I'm not shooting, you'll find me hiking local trails with my two golden retrievers, experimenting in the darkroom, or volunteering as a photography mentor for high school students.
